Ive never understood the Blizzard haters. They bitch and moan about how much they hate Blizz but they can't stop playing wow. Bunch of idiots if you ask me...

But recently, the cata content has seemed odd to me, but I couldn't put my finger on why. Think it's activision pulling the strings. Blizz just put a statement on euro gamer saying patch 4.1 will not contain the Firelands raid that was promised. Instead we are getting ZA and ZG 5 mans. Rehashed rushed and pretty crap looking.

Also the gear is better then BOT and BWD. In hc's. So a bunch of idiots can out gear raiders in a day. Bad decision. Lazy development. For shame. I'm really disappointed. 2 hc's is not a content patch. Weren't we fighting deathwing? Let's stop all that world saving nonsense and loot some troll mojo from dungeons only removed 3 months ago.

Always defended Blizzard against the haters, foreign and domestic, but this is complete shit. Not a happy shaman...

Bring back Arthas.

This is usual from a company that has a monopoly on the market,
they get lazy and fat, thinking that they dont have to push content or change because they have the monopoly and the users can bitch but they will still play, you can read this from the tone of the blue posts recently.

Many many posts about this are saying, it ok blizz take as along as you like we will play rift until you deliver.
This is really bad news, they need to step up their game, they are in a competitive market they need to try harder,
The more and more blue posts that come out these days they are becoming more and more god complex like

we decide this, we are not ready, you will get what we think you need,
They need to start putting the customers first again or its a slippery slope.

I didnt realise that the hc's will drop higher level gear, it will be almost impossible to get people to raids as there is no need,
that sucks. They need to bring back attunement, it would sort all this mess out, and all would get to see the content as its intended.

I agree that cata doesnt seem right, normally raid sign ups are breaking the door down to raid on a new expansion,
and its just not the case. I think its the time vs reward ratio is wrong. The amount of loot compared the the hours and hours you spend is unbalanced enough to put people off. I havnt received 1 single piece of loot in a raid since we started raiding (yes I can hear mag on the violin now ),
but its not the case of being unlucky on rolls, its because there is just so little loot delivered for each raid.

I cant believed they just nerfed the whole expansion so soon.

Its a slippery slope I tells you!!! (wags finger disapprovingly) blizz please go sit on the naughty step and think about what you have done.

From what I've read the two new heroics will drop gear that is a slightly lower ilevel than the T11 raids, item level 353 whereas entry level epics are 356.

Which is great as far as I'm concerned it will make the T11 raids MORE accessible, I'm not sure at this stage whether Blizz realised that they made the introductory content a little bit too difficult and are trying to compensate for that by making it easier to get raid quality upgrades.  BoT and BWD are a damn sight harder than Naxx was at the same point in the last expansion so perhaps we could do with a bit of a boost through.

I really don't mind that 4.1 won't contain the new Tier 12 raid content.  It is still very early in the expansion IMHO, the new tiers will come in good time, late Summer would be about right judging by past content patches.  We're a competent semi-casual guild and typically clear current raid content before the next tier is introduced.  ie we cleared T7 before T8, T8 before T9, T9 before T10 and T10 well before Cataclysm.  If they rush tier 12 in just a few months after Cataclysm, before many guilds like us have had the chance to finish T11, that will be way too soon IMHO.

I was about to post something in complete agreement with Darkvil 'til I read Bert's post. Once again you've given a different perspective that I hadn't considered.
Nonetheless I think there is a reall issue with effort and reward with the game. I confess I''m one of those people getting fed up with nights of wiping and eventually a boss kill for .. what? .. well 70 vp's.
I went so far as to add up my kills. I have a total of 27 boss kills according to Armoury and to show for it I have 1 sub-optimal waist item and 1 lost roll on a ring.
Thats basically 1 useful item and 1 lost roll out of 54!

My theory is that Blizz are either
a) making the loot so hard to get to keep you tied into the game grinding heroics for VP's and the outside chance of something useful
or
b) are pandering to the elite guilds who always say the content is too easy and probably have a disproportionate voice in the Developer community.

Either way it's hard at times to find the game fun. I might just have a look at Rift myself :-S

Perhaps we expected more from cataclysm than Blizzard could deliver. The new leveling zones are great, questing is much improved, although perhaps a bit too slick for my taste. The graphics are improved, and the rebuild of Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms must have been an enormous undertaking.

Blizzards idea of triage healing is only realized in a narrow window of skill/gear. With a worse group you get wipes, and with a better one you bulldoze the instance. Blizzard needs to provide dungeons/raids of a wider range of difficulty, so that we can always find a reasonable challenge. Perhaps we need something like a general buff of desperation, which improves the dps and healing of a player who is low on health.

I want more variation in gear stats (lower stamina for +100 int etc), and in dungeon difficulties. And I want talent trees that do not force us to be more or less the same, more (not fewer) quirky differences between different classes, and I want a more dynamic world, where things are less predictable.

tl;dr dont know if im the only one saying this, but they have been doing this for a while ie naxx and ony. and to a lesser extent dm and sfk. It is slighty easier to put out than a whole new dungeon doesn't really mean it will be anyless fun, and with the gear thing they have been again doing a slightly simlar thing with badge changes, adding new gear for current badges ala sunwell thats better than alot of the lower tier stuff for the same effort and dungeons like mt, fos, pos, toc etc
