Guild Rules

Caledonian Crusaders – Guild Rules

First and foremost, before we state any rules of our own, be aware that the very least we expect from our members is an adherence to the wow guidelines, found here.

Please be aware that although we are a mature guild, we do have a few members who are minors, so please try and behave in a fitting manner at all times.

Guild Etiquette:

Bad manners and attitudes will not be tolerated within the guild. The following rules should be adhered to both in game and on forums:-

  • Both the forum and guild chat are not to be used to harass, tease or humiliate others. Some banter will occur and should be taken in jest but if this is taken too far, action will be taken. I you feel uncomfortable about how you are treated by other members you can discuss this in confidence with an officer. If you have offended someone (even unintentionally) you should takes steps to try and rectify the problem.
  • Any of the following in guild, trade or general chat will not be tolerated: Bad language, spamming, begging, whingeing, constantly asking for boosts. Anything that spoils the guild atmosphere for others.

  • Most players will wish to improve their skill as they progress through the game. Constructive criticism will help you to improve and this should be both given and taken in the right spirit. Such criticism should be provided diplomatically and, on most occasions, privately.

  • When tackling more difficult game content, times of frustration are common. Be aware of your frustration and avoid resorting to blaming or being rude to the other group members. If you are having difficulty with a particular issue and do not think you can communicate it appropriately to the rest of your group then whisper an officer if present or your raid leader.

  • When asking for other players for their help or services, be polite. Within raid this includes asking for buffs, potions and establishing tactics and outside raid this includes professions and trying to form instance groups. “Please” and “thank you” go a long way!

  •  Other guild members should not be charged for your professions provided you are only crafting things for their own personal use.

  •  Give other players the benefit of the doubt. For example, a lack of response to form a group in guild chat may mean other players simply have been otherwise occupied and not noticed.

  • Similarly you should try to reply to requests for help in guild chat even if you are unable to assist at the time. A negative response and explanation is preferable to being ignored.
  • Damage meters. If you decide to use one, fine, but please refrain from posting results in raid chat. If someone requests a print, do so via whisper. These are regarded as detrimental to raid harmony, as they provide a very lopsided view of who does what in a raid scenario.

Guild Bank:

The guild bank is there to be used by all, The GM and staff have the responsibility to manage the tabs. Donations to the guild bank can be provided by anyone (Initiate to GM) and are considered as one way of showing your commitment to the guild.  Funds will be used for any of the following:-

  • Instance/raid specific materials (reagents, flasks, etc. and materials to make these). If you are a regular raider, and use flasks provided from the guild bank, it is expected that you contribute something of similar value in return.

  •  Money for recipes that would be beneficial to the entire guild. If you spot a recipe, were you can craft that item for 3 or more people in the guild, or a consumable the guild bank will purchase or re-reimburse the amount.

  •  High level enchants: We will try to keep a good stock of enchanting materials to boost players’ high level items. Research the enchant and make a request to the GM for the materials and an enchanter.
  •

Caledonian Crusaders has a level 80 cap on recruitment. This does not apply to alts of existing members. We also have an age limit of 18 in most cases.
