Caledonian Crusaders - Guild Charter
Welcome to the Caledonian Crusaders!
Though our name and tabard displays the nationality of our founder, Arzanic, and we have many Scottish players, players of all nationalities are welcome in the guild. Our goal is to progress through end game content with a friendly, good humoured, reliable, helpful and mature group of real team players and good friends.
Everyone has a voice in the guild. If you have any questions or problems, please let us know and we will do our best to help. The best way to do this is to raise a concern on the forum.
Guild Structure:
Your Guild Master is currently Magicharon, dedicated to the guild from its very early days and responsible for the day to day running of the guild, maintaining the website, some raid organisation and primary decision making.
We currently have two Assistants. Their primary role is to work closely with the GM and provide support with raid organisation and leadership and general running of the guild. Assistants will "mentor" newer players who wish to raid and give help and advice on obtaining the necessary gear and reputation with factions. They will make decisions for the guild in the absence of the GM.
Staff have specific roles such as maintenance of this site , managing resources for raiding in the guild bank, running and moderating the forum.
Staff alt rank has no special privileges, and exist solely so that officers can participate in officer chat whilst playing as their main alt.
All Assistants and Staff have the responsibility of ensuring the guild rules are adhered to, speaking personally to those who break these rules and attempting to resolve the issue for the future. If this proves unsuccessful, the issue is then reported to the GM for a final decision.
Veteran Raiders are members who have participated in a significant number of raids and contributed to the progression of the guild in addition to having fulfilled the role of Advanced Member.
Advanced Members are a group of gamers with long term contribution to the guild. This status is awarded to people who have been with the guild for a significant amount of time AND throughout that time have been active both in game and on the forum, contributing ideas and helping out the membership as a whole. Advanced members will typically have contributed to raids and heroic dungeon runs.
Members are our socially active members of the guild who simply cannot commit to raiding with us. This may be due to real-life commitments or differing in game goals (such as PvP) or have simply not reached level 70 yet.
Initiate status is our trial area for newly joined members. Initiates will be expected to register on the website within one week of joining and read the Guild Charter and the guild rules. Initiates with be reviewed by one of the Assistants/staff after approximately one week in the guild and any issues or concerns can be raised in this review. After 2 weeks (on the nearest Saturday) the initiate will be awarded membership status provided they show active commitment to the guild. Commitment is shown by playing with others in guild, contributing in guild chat or on the forum etc.
PROMOTIONS:
Promotions are decided solely on the ability of an individual to fulfil the roles previously outlined (not simply on how long you have been a member). Please don’t ask for promotion, the officers will be watching your progress, your conduct with others, your ability to communicate and help organise, and your guild commitment in general. Guild ranks will be reviewed by the GM every Saturday and promotions given on that day. Any members can recommend others for a promotion by messaging the GM or an assistant with the details of any player they believe has earned a promotion.
DEMOTIONS:
Demotions are also decided based on the ability of the player to fulfil their role in the guild. A player’s level of activity and responsibility will change over time for various reasons (usually the general interference of real life) and demotions can be requested for those that need to take a break or have a period of time where their level of activity cannot be maintained.
Demotions may also occur if a player fails to adhere to the guild rules or repeatedly lets the guild down without valid reason.
REMOVAL FROM THE GUILD:
Any player continuing to disregard guild rules having been reminded of them by an officer will be reported to the GM and removed from the guild.
